The RICHEST Lottery in the World. The 2.6 BILLION El Gordo!

•December 10, 2008 • Leave a Comment
el-gordo-flyer-for-blogs1Hi everyone,

    Here’s a little more
   information for you
  on the Spanish
  Lottery “El Gordo”
 which, this year
  boasts a WHOPPING
prize fund of
   2.6 BILLION Euros!

     Each year, the
       El Gordo lottery
      numbers are
      displayed in the
    center of Madrid, the
     day before the
    Christmas Lottery
  known as El Gordo, or
       ‘the fat one’. The
  complex sweepstakes,
(held on December
  22nd 2008 this year)
  in a televised
 ceremony, brings
Spain to a standstill, with an estimated three of every four Spaniards holding tickets for what is billed as one of the world’s richest lotteries.

The lottery shuns jackpots in favour of a share-the-wealth system in which thousands of numbers yield at least some degree of Christmas mirth, ranging from the face value of a 20-euro ticket, through a series of more lucrative but lower-level winnings all the way up to the 1st-prize number, called El Gordo.

El Gordo, means “First Prize” ………………The climax of the drawing is the moment in which the “Gordo” is drawn (in 2006, 3 million euros for each of the 180 billetes, or €300,000 for each of the 1800 décimos, sold with the winning number). Lottery outlets usually only sell tickets for one or two numbers, so the winners of the largest prizes often live in the same town or area or work for the same company.

In 2005, the winning number was sold in the town of Vic in Catalonia (population 37,825), whose inhabitants shared about 500 million euro (€300,000 per winning décimo). In 2006, the winning number was sold in eight different lottery outlets across Spain,[1] while the second prize number (€100,000 per décimo) was only ever sold from a kiosk on the Puerta del Sol in central Madrid.

As a misconception in many non-Spanish speaking countries, it is often assumed that the term El Gordo is specific for the Christmas Lottery; some even think that El Gordo is in fact the name of the lottery. However, the real meaning of El Gordo is simply “the first prize” (literally “the fat one” or more accurately “the big one”); other lotteries have their “Gordo”
as well.

To add to the confusion, there is a relatively new weekly Spanish lottery game called El Gordo de la Primitiva, which has nothing in common with the Christmas lottery, except the fact that it is organized by the Spanish public lottery entity Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.

There……..i hope you’ve enjoyed reading about some more fascinating facts and figures relating to the Whopping 2.6 Billion El Gordo and if you’re going to have a “punt” on this years……..
good luck!

Have fun……………..

Hi everyone,

With the big countdown to this years El Gordo (the RICHEST lottery in the world – just 14 days to go!) i thought i’d share a little information on the mechanics of just how this national institution actually works.

Since December 18, 1812, the El Gordo Christmas Lottery drawings are held according to exactly the same procedure each year. Two big spherical vessels are used.

One of them contains several tens of thousands of small wooden balls, each with an unique ticket number on it. The othone contains fewer wooden balls, one for each prize to be drawn.

In the Lotería Nacional hall of Madrid, pupils of the San Ildefonso school (formerly reserved for orphans of public servants) draw the numbers and corresponding prizes, singing the results aloud in front of the public, while Televisión Española and Radio Nacional de España broadcast.

Due to the sheer number of numbers and prizes (due to be 26 MILLION prizes+ this year!) this procedure takes about 3 hours. In recent years, more than 4,800 individual numbers won at least €1,000 per billete (€100 per décimo). The probability of winning some prize is roughly 15%.

Those who lost will make the commonplace comment that “it’s health what really matters”. Players who just get their money back will often re-invest the prize in a ticket for El Niño, the second most important draw, held before the feast of Epiphany of Jesus (January 6).

The two-vessels system was the traditional one in Spanish lottery, but now is only used in the Christmas extraordinary. The rest of weekly and extraordinary draws along the year use five vessels with ten balls each, from where the five figures of the winning number are extracted.

Of course, anyone who would like to INCREASE their chances greatly of winning on the El Gordo lottery draw just has to take part in one of e-Lottery’s El Gordo brand new Syndicates to vastly maximise their chances of winning prize.

More news on El Gordo shortly……….

All the best,

Pete

The El Gordo Spanish Lottery…….2.6 BILLION to be won!!

Hi everyone,

On Monday 8th December 2008 e-Lottery will be adding the El Gordo to its portfolio of lotteries offering players around the world a vastly improved opportunity of sharing in this gigantic Spanish lottery prize fund.

If this is the first time you have heard about the El Gordo lottery, let me tell you just how important this lotto is to nearly all of the Spanish population. The El Gordo lottery has been a national institution in Spain for a long time with huge appeal generated by the Christmas lottery draw each year.

Actually, 98% of the population play this Spanish National lottery each Christmas!!
There are a few major reasons why so many Spanish people play a part in the Christmas El Gordo draw. Firstly, there is the incentive of the biggest lottery prize fund of any worldwide lotto – €2.6 BILLION!

Secondly, there are 13,332 cash prizes to be won. The odds of grabbing a cash prize in the Christmas draw are a very generous 1 in 6.

With the level of attention that is given to the Christmas El Gordo lottery game, a lot of people are oblivious to the fact that there are five extra El Gordo draws every year as well.
These draws take place in January, March, May, July and November.

Even though these 5 games do not boast the massive prize fund of the Christmas game, they are substantial nonetheless, ranging from €78 million to €655 million.

Furthermore, these draws offer approximately 3 times as many prizes as the Christmas draw and odds of collecting a cash prize of an amazing 1 in 3.

The Spanish Christmas lottery operates in a different way to the majority of other worldwide lotteries. A complete ticket ‘Serie’ is very expensive, costing anywhere from €200 > 500.

However, these tickets are split up into ten ‘decimos’ (tenths) each costing €20 > 50. When buying your tickets you have the choice of buying a single decimo, a full ticket, or a share of a ticket. If you don’t buy the whole ticket, someone else will buy the rest of your ticket. For example, if you obtain two decimos, somebody else buys three decimos and someone else buys five and your ticket collects €1000, then you will secure €200, €300 and €500 respectively. Due to the expense of purchasing a whole ticket, it is very common for families and friends to pool their lotto money and each person buy a separate ‘decimo’ (tenth).

The chances of winning a cash prize in the El Gordo lottery are excellent but if you opt to play as a member of one of e-Lottery’s El Gordo Syndicates you will have a 20 times better prospect of sharing cash prizes in every draw.

Come and discover the full advantages of playing the El Gordo as an e-Lottery syndicate member and revel in the excitement of this mammoth Spanish National lottery.
This is the RICHEST lottery in the world with MORE MILLIONS on offer than ANY other lottery!

Have fun and GOOD LUCK!
Pete

WHY a Home-Based Business? (Part 1)

•October 27, 2008 • 1 Comment

Hi everyone,

Before you can have a successful home based business, you must first possess 3 “INTANGIBLE” things. These are things that must come from WITHIN YOURSELF.

Over the next few days i will be talking about these 3 fundamental attributes that are absolutely ESSENTIAL for anyone who is thinking about starting a business of their own in the hope that some of this knowledge can be passed on and used by thise who find themselves in the position of wanting to truly do something for THEMSELVES.

Intangible 1 No. 1

Firstly, you must have a strong WHY. Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN’T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

It is all very well having something in your mind that you would LIKE to have. It is a totally different thing, however, to have something in mind that you really MUST have. Something that you just CANNOT do without.
For me, I couldn’t stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of spending the amount of time with my family that i would like to. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my own life and not be tied to anyone else’s time pressures or demands but my own. I worked out that this COULD indeed be achieved using little more than a laptop computer from the comfort of my own home.

That was my own “carrot” and “stick”. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my family’s lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my “WHY”.

You MUST find YOURS.

Once you have found the real reason “WHY” you wish to be in business for yourself at home, the neccessary methods with which you can achieve this will begin to present themselves to you via many and various different methods & routes.

You will find yourself being particularly receptive to the particular options available to you that will bring about the results you desire.

So, the very FIRST thing that we need to know is our “WHY?”

I hope this may help everyone who is contemplating starting a home-based business.

The next “INTANGIBLE” will follow shortly.

All the very best for now,

Pete

2 e-lottery Syndicates win £12,560.40!!

•October 9, 2008 • 1 Comment

Hi everyone,

Some great news for a couple of e-lottery syndicates on Friday 12th September.

The members of two e-lottery EuroMillions syndicates shared wins totalling £12,560.40 in Friday’s draw, by matching four of their common syndicate numbers plus, of course, their two guaranteed “Lucky Star” numbers.

The prize for matching “4 and 2 Stars” was £2,628.70 – the amount an individual playing normally would have won… but each of our winning syndicates won £6,280.20.

How did the e-lottery syndicates win almost THREE TIMES as much money as an individual matching the same amount of numbers?

Not only did our lucky syndicates match 4+2, don’t forget that because of the way our numbers are distributed, that means each syndicate also had FOURTEEN lines that matched 4+1 Lucky Star, as well as TWENTY-ONE lines that matched 4+0 Lucky Stars!

The prize for 4+1 was £165.40, and the prize for 4+0 was £77.90. Get your calculators out…

Yes, it all adds up. So by playing the Smarter Way, our 78 happy syndicate members gave themselves a much better chance… and pocketed £161 each – not bad. In fact, that’s enough to cover their e-lottery subscriptions until May 2009!

Here’s to the next BIG win!!

All the best for now,

Pete

The Team’s event in Coventry

•September 11, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great week.

Myself and The Team (Entrepreneur’s In Action) enjoyed a fantastic event at Stoneleigh, Coventry at the weekend!

In fact, almost 400 people attended THE TEAM’s business building event near on Sunday 7th and were the very first in the world to hear about several exciting developments for both e-lottery and uVme!

Very interesting market and demographic research was revealed about exactly “WHO DOES PLAY THE LOTTERY?” as well as some great insights into what e-lottery’s brand new website will look like and the new e-lottery DVD which will lean very much towards its true “target audience”.

It was most interesting to learn that the most popular sex and age group for people who play the lottery is women, broadly in the 35- to 65-year-old age group.

The next event hosted by “THE TEAM” will take place at the same excellent venue, The Stoneleigh Park Exhibition and Conference Centre near Coventry, on the 30th November. I’ll post further details on here closer to the time.

Have a great day and will see you again soon!

The very best of wishes,

Pete
